One satoshi. A world of art.
A selection of images from the earliest Bitcoin inscriptions.
Inscription numbers come from the Ordinals index. Artwork rights belong to their respective holders. This is an independent research and exhibition project.
Images are extracted from transaction witness scripts supplied by public nodes. Transaction IDs are checked; block inclusion is not independently verified.
Ordinals assigns a number to each satoshi, the smallest unit of Bitcoin. Inscriptions store images and other content in Taproot witness scripts, preserving digital artifacts in Bitcoin blocks.
This museum reads raw transactions from Mempool or Blockstream and extracts inscription images in your browser. Verified local copies let you see the art while live data loads.
Open an artwork to inspect its inscription ID, format, size, block and transaction. Titles use verified inscription numbers; no artist or collection attribution is inferred.
Ordinals is a protocol and an open ecosystem, rather than a single art collection. This exhibition focuses on early image inscriptions. The central sculpture and exhibition design are museum creations.
